Mercy Day & NAIDOC Celebrations
As the official opening date of MSB (the feast-day of Our Lady of Mercy) is during the school holidays, centenary celebrations for the current boarders, day-students and staff will be joined with our annual NAIDOC celebrations which happen towards the end of Term 3 each year. In so many ways, the original mission of the Sisters of Mercy would have been perfectly at home with the goals of NAIDOC and so it is a great way to celebrate both the Mercy spirituality and MSB's current work supporting education for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Australians.Venue: College Chapel and Bottom Oval

Centenary Labyrinth - Official Opening
Since ancient times, labyrinths have been used for prayer, reflection and meditation in a number of spiritual traditions. Christianity also adopted labyrinths for certain prayer and meditation exercises. Prayer with labyrinths also holds a place in the Religious Education curriculum. We are building a large (15m x 15m) labyrinth in a peaceful location adjacent to the Sisters' cemetery and with superb views across the Herberton valley. Past and current students/staff may have their names immortalised in our Centenary Labyrinth buy purchasing a personalised paver which will then be placed in the labyrinth. To find out more, click here or visit the Centenary Shop to purchase.25 Sep 2021
